Commercial Floor Resources joins IAPPF as Gold Sponsor

CFR brings decades of national expertise including extensive projects with leading pickleball franchisor PickleRage

SEATTLE, Wash. — October 30, 2025 — The International Association of Pickleball & Padel Facilities (IAPPF) today announced that Commercial Floor Resources (CFR) has joined as a Gold Sponsor, expanding the association’s ecosystem of expert providers for high-performance racquet sport facilities. Established in 2010 and based in Calhoun, GA, CFR installs and maintains sports surfaces and other commercial flooring including across the U.S. including pickleball and padel courts, and brings decades of installation experience with a full pre-construction and floor-prep capability.

“We pride ourselves on being a nationally renowned solution provider and true resource for all things related to commercial flooring,” said Kevan Carpenter, CEO of Commercial Floor Resources. “Our decades of experience and expertise shines through on the pickleball and padel courts we produce.”

National pickleball franchise operator PickleRage is among those who’ve chose CFR for the most critical component of their clubs – their courts.

“We’ve worked with Kevan and the CFR team for the past year.  They’ve completed one large project for us and are currently working on four others, with several more projects on the drawing board for next year,” said Brian Cartier, Senior Project Manager, PickleRage.

“Their workmanship has been great, and their crews have been excellent to work with.  They have also gone above and beyond to sample new products for us and create-mock ups in their Calhoun, GA facility for us to evaluate,” Cartier said.

The PickleRage clubs range from 25,000 to 45,000 square feet.  CFR provides all flooring installations including court surfaces, LVT, entry vestibule brush mats, office carpeting, bathroom floor and wall tiling, all surface prep, transitions between materials, and all base moldings.  They also coordinate all material deliveries from various flooring vendors, and when applicable consolidate the project materials as well.

“I have no reservations at all giving them an outstanding recommendation,” Cartier said.

CFR’s Sports Surfaces division covers padel and pickleball alongside basketball, tennis, track and more, offering multiple surface systems—acrylic, cushion/force-reduction courts, hardwood, rubber, turf, and specialty coatings—and end-to-end services including prepare, install, maintain, and repair. This breadth allows facility owners to align surface choice with program mix, athlete profile, budget, and maintenance expectations.

Pre-construction diligence is a core differentiator: CFR performs substrate and slab assessments and delivers professional floor preparation (mechanical abrasion, remediation) to prevent premature failures and ensure the selected system performs to spec. CFR also provides concrete polishing and coatings services, including densifiers and sealers for durability and ease of maintenance.

Proven, rollout-ready partner

CFR has supported national accounts since its founding and is a proven provider of all facets of commercial flooring including tile, carpet, rubber, coatings, Terrazzo, and polished concrete.

Real-world value for facility operators:

  • One-stop shop across court types/systems—coordinating with multiple manufacturers to match bounce, shock attenuation, traction, and maintenance profiles to the venue’s use case.
  • Risk reduction up front: slab/substrate evaluation and corrective prep that can prevent court failures (e.g., identifying a slab that was incompatible with an owner’s original surface choice and delivering alternative prep and system selection).
  • Time and cost efficiencies via consolidated scopes for all flooring surfaces, coatings, and line work, and transitions between floor surfaces—especially helpful for franchise and multi-site rollouts.

“The quality of the court is the most important factor in the enjoyment, playability and safety of pickleball and padel facilities,” said IAPPF CEO David Johnson. “CFR’s products, services and people are proven tops in the industry.  We heartily welcome and endorse them.”
