Facility Spotlight: Hot Shots Pickleball Club Sets New Standard with Seamless Tech-Infused Experience

When Hot Shots Pickleball Club opens its doors in Canton, Ohio this August, it won’t just be another indoor facility—it may be the most technologically integrated pickleball venue in the country.

Spanning 28,000 square feet and featuring nine indoor courts (including a championship court), Hot Shots PBC is more than just a place to play. It’s a case study in how modern technology can transform the player experience from the moment they walk in to their last post-match sip at the bar.

Tech That Serves More Than Just the Game

The founders of Hot Shots, Lisa Beaufait and Patty Paschke, envisioned more than a club—they aimed to build a full-service destination for pickleball players and fans alike. To bring that vision to life, they teamed up with three best-in-class tech partners: CourtReserve, PourMyBeer, and GoTab.

“We wanted to blend high-energy pickleball with social connection and smart tech,” said Beaufait. “It’s not just about great courts and great beer—it’s about elevating the whole experience.”

CourtReserve: The Command Center

For Hot Shots, the backbone of the operation is CourtReserve, already a trusted club management platform across more than 1,900 facilities. At Hot Shots, CourtReserve does more than just manage bookings—it’s the key to a connected guest journey.

Players can check in, reserve courts, and—uniquely—use the CourtReserve app to pour their own drinks at Crushers, the club’s in-house taproom and restaurant. Thanks to a custom integration with PourMyBeer, members simply scan a QR code in their CourtReserve app to activate self-pour taps.

PourMyBeer: The Tap Wall with a Twist

At Crushers Taps, Kitchen & Bar, guests find 12 self-pour taps with rotating craft beers, cocktails, wine, and even an exclusive Hot Shots Zesty Pickle Beer. The PourMyBeer system not only adds novelty but boosts operational efficiency and guest autonomy.

It’s not a gimmick—it’s a tool for scaling service and reducing friction. “Our technology empowers guests while giving venues like Hot Shots complete control over the experience,” said a PourMyBeer Founder and CEO Josh Goodman.

GoTab: Seamless Hospitality on the Go

Meanwhile, GoTab handles food ordering and point-of-sale functions throughout the venue. Players can skip the line and order meals or drinks from their phone, settle their tab at their convenience, and return to the action without missing a beat.

“Great guest experiences don’t happen in silos,” said Tim McLaughlin, GoTab’s CEO. “We built GoTab to integrate with systems like PourMyBeer and CourtReserve because that’s what today’s consumers expect—effortless, connected service.”

More Than a Facility—A Social Hub

Hot Shots is designed as a place to play and stay. With mezzanine lounges overlooking the courts, a boutique pro shop featuring JOOLA and Lucky In Love gear, and a vibrant dining area, the club caters to both competitive athletes and social players.

From competitive league play to live music events, the facility is positioning itself as Northeast Ohio’s premier pickleball destination.

Why This Matters to Other Facility Operators

For facility operators across the pickleball and padel space, Hot Shots offers a compelling model: use tech not just for operations, but to drive community, efficiency, and revenue.

  • Integrated platforms streamline staffing and guest experience.
  • Self-service and mobile-first solutions reduce bottlenecks and labor needs.
  • Hospitality and retail tie-ins create new revenue streams beyond court rentals.

As the industry grows and expectations rise, facilities that deliver a seamless, elevated experience will win the loyalty of modern players.
