This club-exclusive journey explores Barcelona and Madrid, blending organized pickleball play with Spain’s most celebrated art, architecture, and history. Cultural highlights in Barcelona include Gaudí’s masterpieces and his Sagrada Familia church, the Montserrat Monastery, the Dalí Museum, the medieval town of Girona. Madrid highlights include the renowned Prado Museum and Royal Palace, a Flamenco performance, and the historic city of Toledo, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Pickleball is played on most days, typically in the mornings, with certified instructors and opportunities to play alongside local Spanish players. Select days are reserved for full-day cultural excursions, allowing members to experience these iconic sites beyond the courts.
Every element of the trip is handcrafted and hand-picked, from centrally located hotels in historic city centers to guided cultural experiences, gourmet meals, and comfortable private transportation. The pace is intentionally balanced, combining active play, cultural immersion, and relaxed social time while traveling together as a club.
Non-pickleball-playing spouses, partners, friends, and family members are welcome and regularly join our trips, enjoying the same immersive cultural experiences alongside the group.
About the Program
We pioneered organized pickleball travel in Europe in 2014, launching the first dedicated pickleball trips in European countries. Tours are directed by our founder, a North American originally from California who has lived in Europe for over 30 years and played a key role in introducing pickleball throughout Europe, including founding the Spanish Pickleball Association. See over 60 testimonial videos from our past travelers talking about their experience at: https://micklepickleballtrips.com/testimonials/
Trips are delivered by our established local team, developed and refined over many years. One of our dedicated team leaders is on-site for the entire trip, welcoming travelers on arrival and managing every detail throughout the journey — both on and off the court.
